In the next 20 years, close to one-third of the population in the U.S will be over the age of 65. And one out of every two people over the age of 85 will develop dementia.
Aging is more than a 'booming' industry; it is on the minds of the Baby Boomer generation, sandwiched between caring for their children as well as their parents, who're requiring more assistance and compassion as they live longer and more independently.

Though I was on an 'out of the neighborhood' adventure this past week when I met Carolyn (she makes some great Play-doh sculptures too!), I am including a link to her book in the next Pipeline because it is an invaluable resource for Baby Boomers, written from the insights of a registered nurse who has worked directly with elders in nursing home environments. Carolyn became so passionate about helping seniors advocate for themselves, and assisting their children, that she also studied law and became an attorney too, specializing in elder care.
