Bright New Talent at Coalition Gallery
Bright New Talent
An exhibition featuring works by the new 14 Coalition Gallery artists.
Opening reception Friday October 1, 2010 (5:30 - 8:30pm)
Coalition Gallery will host a free opening reception for Bright New Talent, a group show featuring work by the Coalition Gallery artists for 2010-2011:
Adrienne Pike, Bernell Loeb, Brad Nugent, Bryan Boomershine, Christie Helm, Connie Wolfe, Dimitri Pavlotsky (PICTURED), Jori Foreman, Kevin Wisor, Nathalie Gribinski, Robin Dluzen, Sarah Rehmer, Shawn Stucky and Zach Mory.
Bright New Talent is the first exhibition of the year and is an introduction to this year’s group of Coalition Gallery artists. Selected through a juried competition, these fourteen artists-in-residence will exhibit in Coalition Gallery through September 2011. Ranging in age, experience, education, global origin, and point of view, the Coalition Gallery artists create works that vary widely in content, media and process. As diverse as the artists are, what they have in common is their emerging status as artists and the city they presently call home: Chicago.
Coalition Gallery is a cooperative program of the Chicago Artists’ Coalition in which the artists manage all aspects of the gallery including marketing and PR, curating, installation, sitting in the gallery during open hours, sales, opening receptions, and governance.
Bright New Talent continues through Friday, November 5, 2010.
The reception and the gallery are free and open to the public.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 12pm to 5pm and Saturday, 12pm to 6pm, or by appointment. Ph. 773.772.2385. (Also open until 8pm on the first Friday of each month).
