In Like a Lion . . .
Cafe Jam! (Chase Park) - Friday, Mar. 4 7-9 PM
Holstein Park teens are invited to join other Northside Park Kids for an open mic rap session tonight at Chase Park, 4701 N. Ashland. For more information, call 312-742-7518.

Park Closed - Monday, Mar. 7

Holstein Park and all Chicago Park District offices will be closed on Monday, March 7 to save money.

3-on-3 Teen Basketball Tournament - Friday, Mar. 11 5:30 PM
Holstein Park teens get your teams together and sign up now for March Madness at Holstein. Three-on-three Teams will square off in brackets playing games up to 21 points - and a winner will come out that night. Deadline for sign-up is Tuesday, March 8. FREE Paper-shredding & Computer Recycling - Saturday, Mar. 12 10 AM - Noon
Want to get rid of old documents, used TV's and other computer equipment? Bring your papers and recyclables to the KMART parking lot on Ashland Ave. (near Division) for FREE and SECURE disposal between 10 AM and Noon. All donated computers will have their hard drives cleaned and refurbished for use in the community. Friends of Holstein Park - Tuesday, Mar. 15 6:30 PM
Friends of Holstein wants to thank all those who attended the Valentine's Dance and remind parents that our annual Easter Egg Hunt in Senior Citizen (Saturday, April 16) relies on parent involvement. If you think you can help, please stop by the monthly meeting. Meanwhile, the Friends of Holstein Park website is coming together. Check it out for the latest news on park activities.

Every House Has a Door - Saturday, Mar 26. 10 AM - 4 PM Lin Hixson and Matthew Goulish, professors of performance and writing at The School of the Art Institute, will be holding an all-day workshop on strategies for organizing and creating stage performance pieces. The workshop for adults (18+) will be in the
Holstein field house auditorium. The fee is $45. You can learn more at www.everyhousehasadoor.org.
Spring Classes Start - Monday, Mar. 28

If you signed up for Spring programs at Holstein, they all start this week. Moms, Pops & Tots, After School, Sports and Special Events. Check your schedules. Most classes run 8 - 10 weeks.
And Finally . . .

Plan ahead. Did you get shut out of a program you wanted because you weren't fast enough getting in your online registration? Online registration for the summer programs starts at 9 AM Monday, April 4. You can see available programs about a week in advance, and set up your payment account as well. Good luck. And don't forget the Egg Hunt is April 16 in Senior Citizen Park.
