Wicker Park's Evil Kitty Finds Perfect Match in London

(Note: Apologies in just cutting and pasting a press release)

EVIL KITTY DEBUTS THEIR FALL 2011 COLLECTION AT THE
UPCOMING EDITION OF MARGIN (LONDON)

(Chicago, IL) – February 13, 2011 -- For the last five years Evil Kitty
has been winning the hearts and minds of buyers in the U.S. They have
established a strong following in their native Chicago and other major
cities. Lidia Wachowska; the designer of Evil Kitty, has searched for years
to find a perfect platform to introduce her brand to European buyers. She
finally found MARGIN; a London tradeshow that caters to smaller and
innovative brands. The show will be held on Sun. Feb 13th, 2011 and Mon.
Feb. 14th, 2011 at The Music Rooms, South Molton Lane, London W1.

Evil Kitty creates edgy, but wearable designs that set it apart from other
contemporary lines. It has two distinct personalities; one is punky and
playful, while the other is sleek and classy. It prides itself in creating
unique pieces in socially conscious ways. Evil Kitty's target audience is
comprised of strong, independent women who like to stand out in the crowd.
Bright colors and playful designs dominate the Evil Kitty landscape. You
can view the collection at http://www.evilkitty.net.

Lidia has based her line on an animated character that she created for an
animation project while attending The School of The Art Institute of
Chicago. The collection started with a t-shirt line and quickly blossomed
into a proper designer line. Evil Kitty was introduced at the Magic trade
show in Las Vegas in 2005 and was immediately noticed by Women’s Wear
Daily. Lidia’s talent has been recognized by local, national and
international institutions and publications. In 2007 she was chosen to be a
designer-in-residence of The Chicago Fashion Incubator
(http://www.chicagofashionincubator.org). During her residency in 2008 she
started a unique collaboration with Toyota Japan. Along with 3 other
designers, she created garments inspired by Toyota’s new concept vehicle,
the i-Real. The collaboration with Toyota Japan has continued; Lidia
currently resides in a new space called, creative lounge CHICAGO inspired
by Toyota.

The Fall 2011 Evil Kitty collection will have a limited color scheme
(black & white); but the emphasis has been put on tailoring, patterns and
textures. This is the most refined Evil Kitty collection yet. Lidia based
many of her silhouettes on the classic designs of the 40s and 50s. She has
spent weeks picking the right fabrics which complement her designs.

Margin is an intimate showroom exhibition in a white gallery space in the
heart of Central London. It is the only location in the UK where buyers and
press can discover new & emerging design talent (most making their debut
launch) alongside credible established brands. Margin's independence and
careful selection of exhibitors, makes the show the most directional &
credible UK trade event for street wear and young fashion. They have the
pulling power to attract leading retailers from UK & international quality
stores, many of whom do not attend regular tradeshows.

“Margin is a great fit for our brand. I can’t think of a better place to
introduce Evil Kitty to the European buyer,” says Lidia Wachowska, owner of
the brand. She goes on to say, “Exhibiting at Margin will help place our
collection in U.K. boutiques that appreciate and cherish unique and edgy
designs.”
