Get out the snorkel and flip-flops . . . Pool opens June 17.

MOVE! A Performance in the Park - Sat-Sun, June 4 and 5

Nothing Without a Company is a performance and dance company that promises to turn Senior Citizens Park into a live extravaganza this weekend, and two weekends after that. All performances are FREE.

The show opens this Saturday, June 4 at 6:30 PM. There will be another performance Sunday, June 5 at 3:30 PM. The show repeats the weekend of June 11-12 and June 17-19. Don't get caught up in the flash mob at the end.

UNMAKING: Zephyr Dance - Thurs-Sat, June 9-11
Arts Partner Zephyr Dance will hold its Spring program of "Experiments and Sketches" in the field house auditorium Thursday and Friday, June 9-10 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, June 11, at 2 PM.

TOY DRIVE - ends Wednesday, June 15

For the next two weeks, there will be a box in the lobby of the field house to collect stuffed animals for children in Afghanistan War. A local soldier will distribute the stuffed animals while serving in The Middle East. The toys will be collected on June 15.

CAPS MEETING - Thursday, June 16 7 PM
Do you have a police or safety issue that concerns you? This is your chance to meet with the Chicago police community liaison. Meetings are in the Holstein Park field house.

HOLSTEIN POOL OPENS! - Friday, June 17
The Holstein Park Pool opens June 17 and will remain open through the summer until Labor, Sept. 5. The preliminary schedule of pool hours is as follows:

Lap Swim - Mon thru Fri: 7 AM - 8:45 AM; 6 PM - 7:15 PM.
Weekends: 11 AM - 11:45 AM; 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM.

Family Swim - Mon thru Thurs: 11 AM - 12:45 PM

*First week only. Day Camp will have this slot June 27 to August 5.

Family Swim - Mon thru Fri: 4 PM to 5:45 PM

* Ends 45 minutes early on Tues and Thurs for swim team practice.

Family Swim - Weekends: 11:45 AM - 12:30 PM; 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM.

Open Swim - Mon thru Fri: 1 PM - 3:45 PM.
Weekends: 12:30 PM - 3:15 PM.

Learn to Swim - Sat-Sun: 5 PM - 6 PM.

* Ages 6 to 12 years. All classes are full.

Swim Team (ages 6 to 17 years) will be organized when lifeguards arrive. Ask at the park office if you are interested.

Friends of Holstein Park - Tuesday, June 21 6:30 PM

It's time to start organizing for the Bucktown Arts Fest, Apple Pie Contest and Circus in the Park. Come see how you can get involved.

Summer Day Camp - Monday, June 27 through Friday, August 5

It's a full house at summer camp this year. Campers ages 6 to 12 years will be at the park from 9 AM to 3 PM every weekday for sports, swimming, organized activities and Friday field trips. Registration is now closed.
And Finally . . .
While you are enjoying the pool this summer . . . if you see inappropriate activity around the pool or in the locker rooms, please notify the lifeguards and park staff immediately. They are there to make your summer safe and enjoyable.
