Come See Another Side of Wicker Park…

Come See Another Side of Wicker Park…

Want to learn more about homelessness in the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhoods? Interested in volunteering to make a positive difference in your community? Curious about what we do?

Then please join us for an Open House at the Marquard Center soup kitchen on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7pm!

Franciscan Outreach Association has been serving the poor and homeless at the Marquard Center in Wicker Park since 1991, providing hot, sit-down meals every night of the year, in addition to free showers, laundry, day program, and case management services.

Our Open House invites neighbors, local business owners, and friends to share soup and sandwiches (wine, coffee and dessert…), meet their neighbors, and take a tour of our facilities. There will be an exhibition of photographs of Wicker Park taken by our homeless guests as well as raffle prizes from local restaurants.
