For Business Owners: Sign Permit Amnesty Ends Oct. 15, 2010

The following workshop is Cut n' pasted from the SSA #33/WPB Sept. 9th email (though I added the bolding to the deadline date of the 15th... no sense in getting a code violation on your sign if you don't have to, right?) Click here to sign up for the SSA weekly email.

Workshop: City of Chicago's Sign Permit Amnesty
On Tuesday September 14 at 8:30am come to the 48th Ward Office (5533 N. Broadway) for a valuable workshop featuring experts from the City of Chicago's Department of Business Affairs and Department of Buildings. They will be able to assist with all the Sign Permit Amnesty program questions you may have. The Sign Permit Amnesty Program allows existing businesses lacking permits for existing signs, canopies, awnings, marquees or banners to apply for one or both of the Dept. of Buildings or Public Way Use Permits at no cost. Keep in mind the City's voluntary compliance period of six months runs from April 15, 2010 through Oct. 15, 2010. RSVP to (773) 561-6000 to attend.
