The first Saturday in May means the Kentucky Derby and FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!
Stores all over the city, and three in Wicker Park-- Brainstorm Comics, Quimby's, and Challengers-- will observe Free Comic Book Day by giving away free comic books from participating publishers.
Per a press release from Chicago Comics, "Those who think comic books are "just for kids" or "old-fashioned" will be pleasantly surprised by the broad range of reading material available at their local comic book store."
