Play Ball . . .
LISTEN, EAT, DONATE - Saturday, May 14 12:30 - 3 PM

Friends of Holstein Park is pleased to present a special concert in the Holstein Park auditorium of students in the park music program. Families are especially welcome to a concert of guitar pieces, rock & roll and a special appearance by the Tiny Cover Band. Admission is $2 or $5 per family.

All proceeds will benefit expansion of the Holstein Park music program. Attendees are encouraged to bring along old instruments they are willing to donate to the park and partake of a bake sale by students in the program.

CO-ED SOFTBALL LEAGUE - starts Tuesday, May 17
There are still openings for two more teams in the summer Holstein Park softball league. Games are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights (teams play once a week) from May 17 through August 11.

Teams can have a maximum of 18 players on the roster, including at least three women. League fees, prize money and umpire fees come to $596 per team. But winning teams at the end of the season receive prize money up to $600.

FRIENDS OF HOLSTEIN PARK - Tuesday, May 17 6:30 PM

The Friends of Holstein Park is gearing up for our two big fall fundraising events - Circus in The Park in September and The Bucktown Apple Pie Contest in October. If you are willing to lend a hand with either, please stop by the field house to see how you can get involved. Your help is much appreciated.

CAPS MEETING - Thursday, May 19 7 PM
Do you have a police or safety issue that concerns you? This is your chance to meet with the Chicago police community liaison. Meetings are in the Holstein Park field house.

MEMORIAL DAY: PARK CLOSED - Monday, May 30
Holstein Park will be closed for Memorial Day.

And Finally . . .
Dog owners, take note: There are new signs posted around the park reminding you of fines ranging from $50 to $500 if you do not clean up after your dog. Please do your part to keep our park a safe and healthy environment for play.
